Hey there! My name is Devon and I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up we always had pets in the house and that is exactly how I liked it! My family and I helped foster several dogs throughout my teenage years and I loved helping care for them, feeding them, and taking them on walks. In addition to fostering dogs of all sizes and ages, we had dogs and cats of our own, but my family didn’t stop there! I also lived and worked on a farm, so I have experience with a wide range of animals including: horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, rabbits, goats, pet rats, hamsters, birds, and pretty much any other domestic animal you can think of! I also gained a lot of experience with many different animals through my involvement with 4-H, while I was primarily in the equestrian side of things, I was still surrounded by the many other animals that my friends raised and cared for. I absolutely love all animals and there aren’t many that I haven’t helped care for (except maybe reptiles, but I am not opposed to pet sitting/caring for them). After moving away for undergrad, I didn’t have many pets of my own – except for a rambunctious pet mouse and a sweet kitty cat, who has now adopted my grandmother and is her furry companion. Although I didn’t have any pets of my own, I took every opportunity to spend time with my friends’ pets and always offered to pet sit when they went out of town! It was always my pleasure to spend hours with my friend’s pets at their homes or have their pets stay with me. I appreciate the fur baby time and opportunity to cuddle them or take the pups for walks (or runs if they are more athletic). Now that I am living in Sacramento, I often care for my roommate’s dog as if he was my own and take care of him on the weekends she goes out of town. I also pet sit for my friends in the area whenever they need it! Unfortunately I don’t currently have a fur baby of my own, but would cherish the opportunity to care for you sweet pets and treat them as my own whenever you may need a pet sitter, dog walker, or someone to check in on them from time to time!
