We have hosted a variety of clients from very young high energy puppies to good old bois who just want to sleep all day! Our house wears many hats! Devon works with our walking and Drop-In clients primarily, and does daily or bi-daily walks for clients during the winter months, while Boarding and Doggy Daycare is a group family effort! Morgan works full-time and provides the pets endless cuddles and lovins when she is at home. Clover is always looking forward to meeting a new friend to chase her around the backyard, or just lay around on the couch all day :P The Cat. Haricot Noir will hide, maybe peeking her head upstairs to check out the newcomer. =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= About our House =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= We own our house and live by ourselves. We do not have any children, and tend to keep kids away while hosting clients. There are pretty significant stairs both up and down, however we try to keep the basement off limits as its a little bit the cats domain. We have a fenced and latched yard with tall fences, clean and organized backyard and semi-pet proof house. While Clover has overcome her desire to destroy all of our shoes, we try our best to keep the house as dog friendly as possible at all times. We have a carpet/upholstery cleaner in the house in case of accidents and always strive to keep the dog hair at bay! =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Our Schedule =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= During the Winter months (November - March) Devon works as a Snow Clearer and is available for bookings at almost any time! Walks can be booked as early or late as fits your schedule. Due to the "On-Call" nature of snow removal, we may be required to re-schedule a booking if neither of us are able to make it at the designated time. During the rest of the year, we are unavailable for walks booked between 8am and 5pm, however a boarding client that does not require constant care can be booked any time during the year! Due to the way Rover prioritizes hosts who open their schedules, we have done just that. please contact us about our availability as it may not be accurate on the website. =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Safety and Security =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= We always lock the house while away and keep frequent tabs on pets during the day if we are out. We are looking into getting property cameras soon for extra security and comfort. Devon has regularly borrowed spare keys or received pin codes for homes to check in/walk dogs while clients are away and always locks up after a visit! There are very few circumstances in which we will not board/walk your pet, but they do exist. If the temperature is below -30 or above +30, Devon will likely request to either delay or rebook a walk. If their is any other inclement weather going on, Devon may request a reschedule. If your pet shows extreme signs of aggression towards our pets or other folks in our home that we were not informed of beforehand, we may request to end the booking early or not accept your booking. Please be upfront about your pets behaviors. =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Our Rates =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= our rates seems pretty random, $31 for this, $26 for that. This is because all of our fees are set up around our take home *after* Rover takes their cut, we value our time at 22$ per hour. For example, our 30min walk fee is $21, we account for 15min of travel time in each booking, or 45min of "work". 45 mins at $22/h is $16.50 and Rover takes 20% of the booking fee. Meaning we need to charge $21 to get $16.80. Our Holiday rates are booked at Service fee x1.5. if you have any other questions please feel free to contact us! Walks will always be in the neighborhood surrounding the Clients home, if you would prefer, we can take your pet too either the off-leash at Scenic or Pavan Park for a distance fee. With Doggy-Daycare, we strive to include at least one 20-30 min walk per day on-top of chasing clover around our backyard for as long as they want! With our boarding pets we will always provide at least one walk per day. Length subject to our availability. We typically feed pets breakfast at 6:00-7:00 am and Dinner at 5:00-6:00 pm, and can adjust our feeding schedule to fit your pets preferences!
