Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was a child. I've house sat for friends, family, and neighbors. I'm also oriented around reptiles, parrots, horses, chickens (my mom owns chickens), ducks, and sheep. I love all animals in any shape, size, and species. Please note that my significant other, John does house sits with me for safety reasons. He is a skilled house sitter as well.

I had Devan watch my dog Boogie (a very energetic and demanding blue heeler) while I was away for a family memorial and I came back to a pristine house and a happy puppy! The house was even cleaner than the day I left. Will definitely be hiring her to watch Boogie next time I’m out of town!
Devan was amazing! She advertised for house and small animal sitting. I reached out about her possibly farm sitting for us. She came over took a look around and said yes! Devan did such an amazing job communicating with us while we were on vacation. It was such a relief to know that our tribe of animals were being taken care of the way that we would have been taking care of them. Devan took care of two horses, two llamas, a sheep, three dogs, three cats and 50 chickens for reference. She also took care of our trash pick up coordination and when we had a power situation she worked with United Power to make sure things went smoothly. We will be using Devan whenever we go anywhere and will be telling all of our friends to use her as well!! Thank you so much Devan!!
I have known Devan for approximately 10 years, and in all that time, she has had many animals in her home. They have all been extremely well cared for and lived long, happy lives. Devan has a beautiful heart, and a fierce protective nature toward animals. She is honest and responsible, and she works extremely hard. I highly recommend Devan for any position where she would be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of animals. I would trust her with my own beloved pets, and others can too.
Devan has volunteered for our equine assisted therapy nonprofit since 2021. She is punctual and dependable and wonderful working with animals. I highly recommend Devan for any position and it’s always been a pleasure working with her.

I have a big fenced-in yard where my doggies can play and a doggie door for them to use throughout the day. I also have two cats who, in cat fashion, are independent and playful. The chickens are free-ranging and require snacks to ensure they have the best day ever. I volunteer with horses on Saturday mornings where I feed them, muck their stalls, prep their dinner, take them out to pasture, and give them lots of love.

Let me know if your pets have any dietary needs I need to be mindful of or if they have any behaviors I need to be on the lookout for. I understand every animal is unique and has a story, however I do believe in safety first. Therefore, I will not care for pets who are primarily aggressive or have a history of frequent biting.
A typical day
I love to interact with the pets. I do this through playtime, walking, and dog parks. For bigger animals such as horses, I like to offer treats, attention, and pets.

Availability
I'm currently working part-time as an EMT/Mental Health Coordinator on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have class from 9 am - 3:00 pm. I'm set to graduate in May 2024 with my bachelors. An ideal pet sit would be animals who start early and are okay to be alone until I arrive back. After that, I can complete their routine, and dinner, and ensure LOTS of attention and playtime.
