Pet care experience
I have had a passion for caring for animals since I was young and I was blessed to have a family cat who we cared for until I was around 6 and later started caring for my two dogs in 2016. After caring for my own dogs for a period of time I occasionally helped with dog sitting for my sister and uncle’s dogs. I’m also currently a veterinary receptionist who is surrounded by both dogs and cats of many different sizes, ages, and personalities. With working at a clinic I have a basic understanding of medications, symptoms, and treatments. Outside of our furry friends I’ve cared for a few fish in my life along with welcoming a new leopard gecko that I’ve been caring for since October 2023. With my knowledge I would love to have more opportunities to provide others with help in caring for their companions!

Destiny has been our go-to dog sitter for years now when we go out of town. We have a long-haired chihuahua papillon mix and he gets anxious and fearful. Destiny has carefully followed our instructions for his care and his schedule when we've been away. She is patient, caring, reliable and provides good communication. You can trust her to meet all your pet's needs!

For the best interactions with your pets please inform me of anything your pet does not enjoy that way a healthy connection can be maintained. Also if your pet has specific training cues that help them maintain a regular routine I am happily ready to learn them. Allergies in pets are also another important piece of information I need to know to keep them healthy and safe. Another precaution I like to take is knowing if there are any stressors or triggers for a pet.
A typical day
I like to help owners maintain the daily routine that has been set for their pets but I’ll take the time to do something extra to keep their pets happy. I enjoy giving pets affection and massages if I am able to as well as spending some time going through the tricks the pet knows and giving them treats to reward them. Overall I’ll try my best to observe the pet and determine what should be done to have some fun.

Availability
I'm working 3-4 days a week at a veterinary hospital which leaves my availability to every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday for dog walkings/drop in visits unless I inform you otherwise. *Please let me know if you need dog walkings/drop in visits on Saturday’s after 3:30pm as I can see about working bookings in.*
