Pet care experience
I have been a pet owner since I was around 5 years old. With 2 shih tzu’s currently (and one childhood shih tzu that is now in heaven), I have grown to love dogs. My dogs are my babies, and I would love to help take care of your dogs when you are unable to!

I wouldn’t allow customers dogs to stay at my house due to my dogs. They can be very protective of their own living environment, and sometimes get aggressive when other family dogs have came to visit. I let my dogs out about every 30 minutes to an hour. I usually sit on the couch to watch TV, and they join me. They always end up falling asleep on my lap. I always make sure they have food and water. We always have stocked treats for them. Their names are Doctor and Pepper, like the drink.

Let me know if there are any special needs for your dog. I don’t have any background taking care of special needs dogs, but I am in nursing school and I should know the basic things. Dogs aren’t too far off from humans. You could also teach me what you do to take care of your dog, and I will use that information.
A typical day
With my dogs, I usually play with their toys. I throw one of their squeaky toys, then they run and go get it. I then, play with them to try to get the toy back. When I get it back, I throw it again for them to run and get it again. To occupy my dogs, we used to give them rawhides, but I now believe those are not good for them.

I am a nursing student at the University of Louisville and I will be graduating May of 2023. I need a side job that will also give me time to study. I am currently working PRN at a Norton Healthcare facility.
