Pet care experience
I have lived with dogs my entire life. All breeds! I have trained dogs and love dogs whole heartedly! Your dog will be filled with activities while staying at my place! Your dog will get love, cuddle time, play time and if you need your dog bathed I will more than happily do that! My home is open to dogs of all breed and sizes! I do ask that your dog has basic training before bringing him to my home. Example would be the dog understands “sit”, “no”. And those basic commands. Your dog should be potty trained, although I will not be upset with occasional accidents. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I currently work part time in the evening. I am away from home for approximately 3 hours a night. During that time there is always someone home. So your pup will never be unattended! If your pup is boarding in my home you can expect the same treatment that you give! He/she will be well loved and cared for while your away! We send daily pictures and report card during their stay. I keep everything as close to your routine as possible to make the dogs transition less stressful!

Professional home setup, they bonded quickly, great location, and we are so thankful to have a go-to when camping at Lake Compounce to day trip without guilt of leaving our Lady at the campground. Desiree kept my cat for 8 days. My cat was comfortable and well fed the entire time. Plenty of photos were sent to me, and I appreciate my fur baby being taken care of.
this was the first time we left our pup with a babysitter and we were a little apprehensive but the moment we were welcomed at Desiree's home we knew our pup was in good hands. everyone in the house likes dogs and it is well equipped with anything they might need! I was delighted! we will definitely return.

Every animal I take in to my home, or go to their home, has unique personalities and needs. This can be a changing factor in the way I care for a pet; but never in a negative way! Every animal gets not only their basic needs met (food, water, potty etc) but will experience their own fun vacation while their moms or dads are on theirs! I take every safety measure in consideration, restrictions, limitations, needs, etc as well. Let’s say I have a dog boarded with no allergies, sensitivities, restrictions etc. some thing’s that we do during the stay includes making special lick mats, west paws (similar to kongs) filled with healthy dog safe foods, home made dog treats, hiking, car rides, bike rides, endless toy options, reinforcing training etc. Mental stimulation needs are met as well as physical needs. With large breed dogs mental stimulation is extremely important (almost more than physical!) therefore we spend a lot of time conquering it! Now with dogs that can’t engage in some of our favorite activities, no worries! They still have a blast!

Please let me know if your dog needs any special accommodations or have certain behaviors I need to be mindful of ? Due to recent events, prior to any booking, I need full transparency on your dogs behaviors. This includes show your dog reacts to being left alone, seeing another person or dog, any anxiety, etc. I will no longer accept a dog that has separation anxiety, very vocal or anxious, barks throughout the day or not etc. if behaviors like this occur through out the stay I will need someone to pick up your pup. Please be fully honest before booking to avoid any potiential problems. Thank you.
A typical day
Depending on your pups energy level and exercise tolerance, I offer different fun packed activities! We are a family who loves to hike, go on the bike trails for walks, go to parks etc! Whatever your pup is more comfortable doing we will do! We are also a family who loves to just relax and watch movies too. Best of both worlds! We are happy to have a dog who prefers to lay around or run around!

Availability
My schedule is built around the dogs I board. There are times where my schedule is a bit more hectic with prescheduled commitments but I do not let that effect my ability to care for the pups in my home. There is always a 2nd person here, my business partner (my Sister). She is able to care for any animals in my home to the same capabilities as myself. I take the safety and quality of care very seriously of any animal I take in.
