Dogs are more like humans than we realize. The have a variety of personalities, needs, and attitudes. I think it is important to develop a bond with a dog over time to establish trust before bringing them to unfamiliar environments such as overstimulating walks with lots of smells, off leash, or dog parks. In my personal opinion many dog owners and sitters set their dogs up for failure by not being able to read their dogs body language nor establish a good foundation starting with trust. Who wants to be around a stranger in an unfamiliar environment? Not me, so your dog doesn’t want to either! I offer a free consult where I meet with you and your pets to see how the interaction goes, to go over expectations and to cover the basics such as handling, training, recall, special treatments, etc!

Throughout my personal and professional career with dogs I have learned so much that an average person does not. Some of these things include scent detection, enrichment and training tools. As mentioned in my profile above I would be happy to learn and continue whatever training methods you are using with your pups/dogs as long as they are ethical. I have a fair share of experience with assisting training larger breeds such as Boxers, German Shepherds and Mastiffs. Mental stimulation and enrichment is very important and I have an overflowing foundation of ideas to keep your pup happy, healthy, and constantly learning. I would also be happy to teach you some fun tricks to keep your dogs brain busy just as much as their feet! Mental exercise is just as important if not more important than physical exercise which a lot of pet owners do not realize!
