I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life. My past work schedule and housing hasn’t allowed animals, so I’m turning to you to create a win win. You find quality care, I get to be with awesome animals again. Over the time I have been with Rover I have had great experiences with animals and their owners. I will care for them the best I can while you away.

Derrick (or J as he prefers to be called) is an absolutely amazing sitter! He always responded quickly to our messages, he sent frequent text and photo updates of our dogs while we were away, and our home was SPOTLESS when we returned. He went above and beyond while housesitting our two dogs, including staying later than we had originally planned when one of our flights was delayed AND he also shoveled our long driveway after a big snow storm!! He is absolutely fantastic, and not only do I recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter, we also would 100% use his services in the future.
So glad we found J. Our poppy loves him. We feel very comfortable with him staying in our home.
Derrick was wonderful. We were out of town for a week and I never worried about my cat and dog (or house!) for a moment while we were gone. He sent us pictures regularly, was easy to communicate with and the animals got plenty of attention. I will absolutely contact Derrick again the next time we need a pet sitter. Having someone you can trust with your pets is so important and he made it a stress free trip. Thank you Derrick.
J took care of our kitty?⬛ and house sat for a week and would 100% recommend. Excellent communication and returned to a house that was probably cleaner than we left it. Very nice guy.

At the moment I can only provide in home care/housesitting. I have respect for peoples privacy and homes. I will abide by any house rules set and be sure everything is taken care of to the best of my ability. This is a combination pet and house sitting, trust must be established between you and I. After May I will have the ability to care for cats in my home if the cat is okay with the change. The change of environment is sometimes difficult for animals.

A typical day
Again this will be cats only, but I love playing with them. Strings, balls, whatever toys they like best. Cuddles and petting are fun too.

Availability
Please call me J (my middle name). Moving into Spring/Summer I will unfortunately have less time for Rover. My winter work schedule a minimum of 12hrs. Thursday-Sunday. Therefore I will only be caring for cats moving forward. This wouldn't be fair to a dog so I cannot properly care for a dog at this time. After April I will be moving to a Monday-Thursday work week for spring through fall.
