Pet care experience
I've taken care of and owned dogs since I was born. My family has had 5 dogs while I was living with them and I now have my own. I've sat for dogs of all ages and sizes and have sat for 6 animals plus the house all at once on multiple occasions. I have sat for multiple people including most of my family in town and three friends parents.

Derrick did a great job taking care of our pups. Puddles and Boba warmed up to him very quickly.
Derrick stayed with my dogs at my house one night. Everything went well and I am going to use him again for another trip! He was good with the dogs and a good house guest. I have no complaints at all. I trust him with the care of my dogs and house for sure.
I always loved when Derrick was available to dog sit for me. He was extremely responsible and attentive to my dogs. He followed all the instructions that were provided to him. He is extremely trustworthy. On one occasion, one of my dogs became ill and created a mess in the house. Derrick cleaned up after her without complaining. If I hadn’t have moved out of state, I would still be hiring Derrick. He was the best sitter I have ever had!
I have known Derrick his entire life. He has always had a love for animals, especially dogs. He is gentle and helpful and very patient. These are qualities that are always appreciated by my pets when he comes to visit. My pets love him.

I have experience with leading dogs and cats into their kennels, getting them to go inside or outside, and if needed I have experience separating them for meals.

If you could please let me know if there are certain words or body language that the dog gets excited about/ is scared of that would be great!
A typical day
I like to be physical with dogs if they are capable of playing like that. I like a gently push up on them and start playing fights because it creates trust and establishes who the boss is. I give lots of pets to all my animals who are willing to accept them and have lots of experience being patient with those who are a little shy. On a normal day I would feed everybody, let them out to go to the bathroom, and then I go through random trust exercises throughout the day paying very close attention to their body language. I have never missed a clients preferred feeding time.

Availability
I am currently attending NMSU and have school from 9:00am - 11:45am Monday through Thursday. I have Fridays free. I lead worship for a campus ministry starting at 8:00pm and ends around 10:00pm on Thursdays. I have church from 10:00-11:45am on Sundays.
