I have the patience for hyper dogs and the strength to walk big dogs. I've trained puppies, cared for elderly dogs and have worked with many different breeds. Whatever you or your pet needs just let me know and I got it.

Derrick has been our reliable pet sitter for our dear dog Charley for over five years. He is keenly aware of Charley's needs, and over the years he has worked with her to noticeably improve her behavior on walks. Derrick is communicative, sending pictures and updates as needed, and alerts us right away whenever he notices something that needs attention. Derrick typically watches Charley in our own home, and has proven to be responsible and reliable with our house as well, keeping us aware of when he comes and goes, and always leaves the house cleaner than how we left it. We couldn't recommend Derrick highly enough, and we're so lucky Charley has a caregiver like him whenever we're away.
Derrick has cared for my dog for almost 4 years. He began sitting for me in April 2020, and I've relied on him ever since. Through the puppy phase, the COVID pandemic, and life's curveballs, Derrick has consistently remained flexible, reliable with scheduling and special pet accommodations, as well as been incredibly caring and attentive to my pet's needs. He's a trainer, walker, and sitter all in one, and having his awesome dog skills handy has alleviated lots of stress for me as a pet owner. I have a pretty consistent schedule, once I have a pet over I adapt my routine to fit the pets needs. I can do early walks if your pet needs it. I have a fully fenced private yard. I take breaks often from working on the computer and usually play with the pups then. It's a nice way to decompress from all the tech stuff. Apart from going out for a jog every once in a while, I'm home most evenings so I can adapt my evenings for your pet. Night time routine is usually just making dinner and then a movie or tv series with my significant other so any pets who like to snuggle will feel right at home. For sitting at the pet owner's place I normally just bring my laptop, a controller and a little piano to work on music. I'll occasionally step out for some exercise or to grab dinner and I leave the place tidy on my way out.

Anything I need to know about the leash, any areas to avoid in the neighborhood. Best place to discard any trash, or bags from the walk. And best place(s) to park. I'd also love to know if there is a preferred route you usually take your dog on, being able to provide this type of consistency makes the experience so much easier for your pet. Any allergies your pet may have, which treats they like, favorite way your pet likes to be shown affection. Anything your dog absolutely does not like or is put off by.
A typical day
A lot of love, playing, and funny photos. Cozy time with me whenever I'm reading and quiet time for them to take a nap and cool down whenever they need. I'll usually get work done on the computer while your pet takes a nap.

Availability
I'm available for boarding on weekends anytime. I wake up pretty early to workout and then do dog walks or Uber before starting my day. For weekdays I can do early dropoffs (early as 6am) and I can adapt for 8am-5pm dropoffs however I'm usually studying during those times and would just have to pause that and get your pet situated and comfortable at my place before getting back to my studies. I'm usually reading and keep a calm environment at my place. I'm currently doing an online computer programming course and when I'm free I like to relax at home and make music. I got out for an early evening jog around 5pm once or twice per week.
