My dog, Tim, stayed with Derek for three days and I never actually met Derek. He had friends or relatives there when I dropped off and picked up Tim. Communication was also an issue. I sent Derek multiple messages in the month leading up to the stay to request a meet and greet (which did not happen because he never responded). I found out once I arrived to drop off Tim that Derek was not going to be home and someone else was there to meet me. Overall, I probably won’t book with him again because it was hard to communicate and plan a stay. Additionally, at the time of Tim’s stay Derek’s profile said that he had a fenced backyard and he does not, so keep that in mind if you are looking for a home with a backyard for you pup to play in while you are away. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, especially for stays around the holidays when it’s hard to find sitters, but I was worried about Tim the whole time I was away.
