Hi Rovers! I would like to start by saying I am definitely a dog person! My experience caring for dogs goes all the way back to when I was a young child. I grew up with dogs in my household and in recent years I've had the opportunity to take care of friends and family members dogs. My energy can handle the blue heeler and cattle dog types, but at the same time I can be mellow enough to care for the older, slower, dogs. In terms of peace of mind for y'all I am extremely well versed in caring for others children, I manage a before and after school program at a local elementary school. Now, while my day job isn't caring for dogs, I believe my ability to provide a safe environment and my robust amount of patience with children transfer over to caring for dogs quite well. I look forward to getting to know your dogs and showing y'all my commitment to great service!

Derek is great with dogs. He has been a friend of mine for several years now and has been a great friend to the pup we have at my place, which is my roommate's (his brother). He has watched the dog here several times and has done a great job each time, Roo (the dog) loves him. I'd recommend him to take care of any ol' dog I know.
Some testimonials are not easy to write, others just roll off your tongue so-to-speak. This is one of those that just comes to me. When Derek was first born and came home from the hospital, Marco Polo, our Britney/Cocker Spaniel, was there to greet him! There wasn’t a moment in Derek’s young life that Marco wasn’t by his side. However, as Marco moved on to doggie heaven, we were soon to have a new canine member of the family, Lacey, our Tibetan Terrier! Throughout middle, high school and college, Derek and Lacey were inseparable. They were best of friends! I guess you could say that being a dog lover became part of Derek’s DNA! So not to worry.. your dog will be loved and cared for as if he or she was one of our family! ?? Dad/Papa P.

Are they very aggressive? How often do they normally go out for walks? Are they fully trained? Do they like to sleep in a crate or somewhere else? Basically I’d like to know as much as I can before your dog becomes part of my life for the days I’ll be watching them. Your dog(s) are extremely important to you so I make them a top priority for me when hosting.
A typical day
Walks through Kenton Park, Columbia Park, Pier Park. Runs through Forest Park and frisbee at any of the aforementioned parks. Your dogs will also have full access to a fully fenced backyard. If they are slower and older dogs they will be able to enjoy a relaxed setting in the comfort of a quiet, cozy home.
