I owned my first dog when I was 17 years old. His name was Champ (samoyed). I got him when he was a puppy and he was my buddy and spirit animal. I raised him to be a therapy dog and used to take him to nursing homes. I fell in love with the breed and began breeding and rescuing. Samoyeds are a handful between walking, brushing and bathing, haha. But I enjoyed every second of it!
