Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, and did plenty of Dog Care while in college. I've lived with more dogs than I can count and I've loved the special bond with each one of them. Small, white dogs are my persomal favorite, but big dogs are great as well! From young, energetic pups, to old-dogs who just want gentle caressing. I love giving man's best friend proper attention and company. Dogs lives are so much shorter, so I believe they deserve that much more love ❤ I'll follow directions to all exact specifications and I'm happy to communicate any questions or concerns in a concise manner. I highly recommend Derek as an extremely responsible and loving pet caregiver. He has taken care of my dogs on two occasions. He sends pictures showing how well my dogs are doing. I give Derek solid 5 stars!
I am thrilled when Derek can walk and bathe my dogs! I dont have to worry, he is very gentle. My little dog tends to bark at everyone, but seriously from the first time she met him she goes to him! I think it comes from his sincere connection with the animals that he cares for. He is gentle and soft spoken, and always has a smile. Derek is reliable, and will never ever let you down!
Derek has been watching my dog in-house for several extended periods of time during the last two years. He is very dependable, reliable, cleans up after himself...I have zero complaints. My dog has epilepsy, so he gives her medication twice a day, feeds her, walks her, and hangs out with her. Most importantly, she LOVES him :) I never have to worry about anything while I am gone!

My current residence does not allow pets of any kind, but I'm willing to travel to clients home and tend for them there. I'm also able to take dogs for walks around local neighborhoods. I always respect the clients home and property as well as follow specific instructions.

I've administered oral medication before and understand canines stubbornness. However, wrapping the meds in cheese, peanut butter, or mixed with meat paste is almost always certain to work. Let me know if your dog had special medical or dietary needs and we can make it work!
A typical day
Firstly, I like to settle any excited behavior by taking them outside or giving them scratches. If they want to play tug of war, or fetch, or just be chased around in the yard, I love getting physical exercise alongside your pet! Staying active will ensure your dog will be healthy physically and mentally. If your dog likes to sleep, I'd be happy to make an illustration to capture their likeness
