We love dogs! My wife and I have owned and cared for dogs for 25 years. We've been involved in training and have volunteered at the Boulder Humane Society. We're both well versed in canine health and have a dog-safe house and yard. Your dog will be safe with us. We only watch one dog family at a time, so there’s no concern about any dog getting along with another dog. Speaking of yard, our house is on a 1/3 acre lot with a large, fenced in backyard. This is great for afternoons outside and throwing balls around. But the open space is the real gem. We're fortunate enough to be surrounded by open space and nearby hiking trails. Walking around there (on leash) or a hike in the foothills is one of our favorite things. So basically, we're in search of a walking or hiking buddy. There are also two different dog parks close to the house, so we always enjoy a trip there if the owners are okay with it. If your dog has special needs, we can handle that. We're used to giving shots and oral medications. We've had some older dogs that don't do well with lots of steps, so we're prepared for that. Your dog is our priority while in our care. We both work from home, and are pretty flexible with our schedules, which gives us a great opportunity to be attentive to your pets. We often take mid-day walk breaks and then longer walks at the end of the day. Or for our older guests, we're fine just hanging out in the backyard. Since we've had dogs for so long, we're pretty set up. We have a pet-safe home. Low chance of them getting into something they shouldn't. If something were to happen, there are two animal hospitals within 3 miles. We'd love to meet with you, show you the house and the yard and give us a chance to meet your 4-paw family members.
