Derek was amazing! He clearly loves pets and cares about taking care of them for you. Great communication throughout the whole reservation, lots of reassurance to me, the nervous Pet Mom, and even pictures to boot! Hope I get to use Derek again!
Derek was amazing. He took wonderful care of my cats Pierre and Dopey Pierre is very active and only likes certain people. Derek kept him entertained and happy. Dopey is let's say Spicey. He still took great care of her and made sure they were entertained, feed and clean.
Derek is an amazing pet sitter. With every pet he meets, he creates and loving relationship. He is responsible and proactive in his duties. All animals seem to love him and he reciprocates it back. He is my go-to pet sitter that I know I can rely on.
Derek is an excellent pet sitter. He has a calming energy about him that my three cats and dog immediately gravitated to. My shyest cat adores him. He's timely, thorough in pet care like special feeding needs, interactive play for both cats and dogs and just all around a very responsible caretaker. I highly recommend him. I am potentially open to boarding options for cats. I take great care in catering to the needs of each pet. Since I have a long history with both Dogs and Cats, I have an intuitive knowledge on their needs and can read our furry friends easily to know what they desire. Any specialized needs will be met without fail. In a clients home, I always follow the routine that the pet is used to and will go above and beyond to ensure that they are feeling safe and comfortable. A new person taking them on walks, checking up on them, or staying in their home can be daunting. My mission is to make that transition as easy as possible for them.

Let me know ahead of time for any special needs that your pet needs. I will carefully account for anything I need to be aware of and make it a priority alongside all of their other needs.
A typical day
For Dogs: Right away I will come let your pup familiarize themselves with their caretaker, for some it will take longer than others and that is perfectly fine. Once they’re sure I do not pose any danger and that I am there to protect them and enrich them playtime can begin! I will take them for walks, play with them outside, play fetch with their favorite toy, or bring them to a nearby park! For Cats: Right away I will come let your feline familiarize themselves with their caretaker, for some it will take longer than others and that is perfectly fine. If your cat is on the sheepish side I will not force anything, I will make sure its needs are met and nothing more if that is what it wants. However, a playful cat is more than welcome as well! I will have them play with their favorite toys, chase a laser pointer, jump in boxes, or have them chill on a warm lap if that’s their cup of tea. If the owners have a set of instructions for playtime, walking, etc. I will follow those.

When am I free? (Subject to change due to school obligations or part time work) Monday: After 6PM Tuesday: After 1PM Wednesday: After 6PM Thursday: All day Friday: All day Saturday: All day Sunday: All day I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota, I also work part time. Scheduling for my part time job is erratic and not concrete. Unless I work, my schedule is completely free on Thursdays thru Sundays. On Tuesdays I am free after 1PM. On Mondays and Wednesdays I am free after 6PM.
