Pet care experience
I’ve had pets my entire life. Thankfully, growing up we had multiple dogs and cats which allowed me to experience the love a pet can bring. I couldn’t imagine a life without having pets. With experience pet sitting before, I know that each home comes with different routines and scenarios. I’ve had to train plenty of puppies, given medicine to elderly pets, and always enjoy building a relationship with a furry friend!

Derek is a very responsible pet owner and sitter. He is also very personable and professional. He has had a variety of pets his whole life including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and fish. We are always pleased when he pet sits for us because he follows our directions and treats our animals as if they are his own.

A typical day
I have my own dog Barley here to provide them with friendship and play time! I have a nice sized back yard to walk in and the neighborhood has some great sidewalks for a walk around the town!

I currently work full-time from home as a Content Manager. I have a moderately flexible schedule if need be, but for the most part, I’m looking for some long- term options so I can build a working relationship with the pet and owner. However, whenever my schedule allows I’m always open to pick up an overnight here and there!
