Pet care experience
I love dogs. I am a dog/cat dad and uncle myself. I have a 5 y/o Black Lab mix named Dexter, and a Tabby named Maxwell, both adopted. I've had dogs most of my life, from Chihuahua pups to German Shepherds. I have helped train dogs for friends and family, an I have no issue helping others train their fur babies. I love to cuddle, play, and run. I am in school for nursing. So, should your pet have any medical concerns or issues, I am more than willing to give them whatever special care and attention they need. I'd like to make sure your pets get everything they need while you are away, whether that be food/water, cuddles and pets, or a walk/jog around the neighborhood. I am here to help.

Dereck is such an enthusiastic and caring pet owner! He loves all furbabies as if they were his own. My own pets always get super excited when they know “Uncle D” is coming! I have complete peace of mind when my (many) dogs and cats are in his care- which is no easy task- I have very high expectations when it comes to pet care! Not only does Dereck meet them, but he exceeds them! I highly recommend him as a pet sitter or walker for your beloved little (or big!) ones!
I’ve known Dereck and his dog for almost a year now and the best thing about him as a pet parent is how protective he is of his dog. When I’ve gone on walks with him he makes sure his dog doesn’t run across the street or interact inappropriately with others. Always leashed appropriately. He takes his dog on several 15 minute walks per day to make sure he gets enough excercise and likes taking his dog to the park. He’s loving towards his dog (treats for good behavior) while keeping boundaries on behavior (no begging for human food or taking it off peoples plates.) In short Dereck is a caring, conscientious , responsible pet parent and I would recommend him as a sitter. I would also recommend him as a person to interact with because he routinely makes it his business to get along with people from all walks of life. He’s cool.
Dereck has been a friend of mine for several years and I can personally and whole-heartedly attest to him being one of the kindest and most responsible people I've ever known. His own puppy, Dexter, is like a child to him. From the beginning, I was astounded by his rapport with his puppy. He reads nonverbal signals perfectly and is always 100% tuned in to his pup's needs, while giving him a relaxed and comforting energy - which is so important with animals. I can't recommend him highly enough. With Dereck your pet is in the best hands possible.
