Attentive and flexible dog sitter!!

Pet care experience

I'm very memorable to dogs. When they see me, they associate me as someone who listens, understands, and provides fun adventures. I prioritize fulfilling THEIR needs as canines. Exercise mixed with a little exploring helps satisfy their instincts, which influences relaxed behavior! This allows dogs to become more perceptive and less distracted. When they're more observant it sets them up for successfully learning something new. I have experience with dogs of all sizes AND all ages. Special needs? Not a problem! I'm patient, attentive, and I have experience with bathing/grooming and distributing medications. I am also skilled in massages and range of motion exercises for dogs recovering from injuries and battling arthritis. I have a 10-year-old Shepard/Husky mix who I adopted 8 years ago. I have hosted packs as large as 5 at one time. Oddly enough, the more dogs there are, the easier it is to guide everyone!

This was a first time stay when my regular sitters couldn't keep Sasha over the holidays. It was 10 days and it worked out great. Had a meet & greet with her dog and Sasha had a great time and came home exhausted from play.

I have known Dequesne for many years and I have seen her love for animals but especially for dogs. She understands the physical needs of dogs and she cares about their emotional needs too. She has always been a hard worker and very dependable. Dequesne would make an excellent dog caregiver.

Dequesne is amazing with dogs. Big or small, she always takes the time to make sure their needs are being met, safe when taking them on walks, and fed at a timely manner. She not only does a great job with dogs, but goes above and beyond by showering them with love and affection. You will definitely not be disappointed if you use Dequesne as your furbabies caregiver.

Or do they feel more comfortable doing the approaching? - Does your dog have any known allergies? - Will your dog communicate when they need to go outside? - Is your dog house trained? - Is your dog leash trained? - Does your dog know basic commands? - Does your any special dietary needs? A typical day

It depends on the dog! I know everyone has their own preferences when it comes to the amount of exercise they can endure, but one thing that I've learned is that all dogs love to sniff and explore outside. It helps satisfy their instincts, which can lead toward a more tame demeanor. I love going to the dog park. Everyone can go at their own pace, and when you travel in a pack everyone sticks together! I can see the extra perk in my dog when he runs with a pack versus him being with just me. Depending on how social your dog is, I can always schedule a trip during a time when it won't be crowded. There is also a fenced-in area available if you don't feel safe with your dog off leash. Also, there are two nature trails within walking distance of my house. I'm use to walking 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes with my dog. (rain, snow, or shine!) If your dog is older, smaller, or not so energetic, then I'm happy to do multiple short walks. I do prefer to use a harness rather than a collar. If your dog doesn't have one of their own, I will happily provide one. It's less stress on your dog's neck and allows me to have better control incase of an emergency. Your dog will also have access to a large fenced in yard! Some dogs enjoy playing with a ball, rope, or even a stick! I've done fetch and keep away before. (for those dogs who enjoy being chased instead of bringing the ball back) If your dog is anything like mine, then they'll enjoy just lounging outside on neighborhood watch duty with some human company.
