Pet care experience
Since moving to Florida, I had a hard time adjusting. Having a dog was a pretty big change for the family, but we soon fell in love with our fellow pets, despite all the ups and downs of life. Our third and final dog, Giro, lived with us for a bit over half of my existence, and losing him proved especially painful. As an autistic person, I have gone through many struggles in life, and pets—whether my own or someone else’s—bring me joy and relief whenever I come across them. My professional experience is limited, but I hope to make the most of my life experience to take care of your pets.

This was my second time booking overnight stays with Denys. She will no doubt take the best care of your dog! She exhibits great communication, responsibility, flexibility and a true love for animals.

My house has a fenced yard, but the yard has plenty of space for small-sized dogs. Our house is a bit small and my family is more accustomed to laid-back dogs, but if your dog needs exercise, our neighborhood is quiet with low traffic, making for a perfect walking route. Access to furniture is restricted, but I will personally allow pets on my own bed if they need rest. (For context, my bedroom leads right into the backyard.) I also take care of a physically disabled sister, who travels around the house by crawling, so please make me aware if the dog is especially energetic. Unfortunately, I cannot take cats as our house is not cat-proofed.

No breed preference, though I primarily take small and medium dogs. (Our house is not accustomed to larger dogs, but I can accept puppies from large breeds.) Please have instructions for medication, grooming/bathing, and other needs available so I can prepare the accommodations for your pet.
A typical day
My family is generally accustomed to more laid-back dogs, but for dogs who require a bit more activity, I can play with them in the yard and take them for walks around the neighborhood.
