I live in a cozy place with yard access for the dogs to run around if they choose - or stay inside if they're couch potatoes. They sleep inside wherever they feel comfortable. I've had dog companions for almost twenty years and can't imagine a life without them. I have two now: a midsize cruiser called Ollie and a peppy little girl called Ivy. Why I love dog sitting I got my first dog, Gus, a lab mix in 1994. I go out there with the dogs -- they're never left unsupervised.
