Pet care experience
I have been a volunteer at Woods Humane Society for 3 years. I am a huge dog lover. My dog Happy is a 40 pound female rescue. She would be joining me on my Rover sits. Happy is a very friendly dog and compatible with a variety of dog personalities, she does best with older well mannered dogs. If your dog is NOT a dominant alpha, or aggressive we would love to play. At home my husband and adult son might drop in during the day, they both work in Los Osos. We have a 6' fenced in yard with grass and a great space for playing ball or frisbee. Our house is dog friendly with lots of toys and treats. We are a serious dog loving family! Thank you for your interest. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.

Hadley had the best time at Denise’s. It was such a relief knowing she was getting attention and activity while I was working some long hours. They went on hikes and she snuggled up to Denise in bed. She sent lots of pictures that made my day. Hadley’s so exhausted from all the playtime. Will definitely be taking her bag regularly!
My dog had a great time with fun activities through out the stay. Made lots of friends with Denise and her dogs. Definitely a new regular sitter.

I prefer mellow, well mannered dogs 3 years and older. I would like to know how your dog communicates their needs, and what basic commands they know. Is there is any training I could help with? Does your pup need their crate, a special blanket, toys, treats? Do they have any allergies? Do they wander or run away? Can I walk them off leash on the trail, and at the beach? I'd like to be sure they have a collar with all their family info on it. Most importantly I want to be sure they get along with my dog. PS: It is always nice when I get a clean, brushed dog with a clean bed.
A typical day
We live near a beautiful trail that takes us on a 2+ mile hike. We love going to dog beach in Cayucos. We have a great yard to play ball in. Doggies have free roaming indoor privileges.
