Pet care experience
I have never known life without pets. Animals have always been my passion. I have raised, trained and cared for both young, old, sick and injured animals, wild, farm and domestic. I volunteered at a rescue and rehabilitation wildlife center for 5 years. I have 6 clients outside of Rover serving as house and pet sitter for the following: dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, cows and sheep and plants. I retired early because I want to devote the rest of my life doing what I love. Animals are my passion and my greatest joy. My schedule is wide open I can tailor my care giving to your needs for your pet. I will love and care for them as if they were my own

This was the first time we left our dogs with someone while we were on vacation for a week. Denise took care of our dogs like they were her own and sent multiple pictures daily. It felt good that we didn’t have to worry about them. When there was an issue with one dog, she made sure I knew what was going on. Plus, our house was just as we left it when we got home. She had to have cleaned up during the week because there was barely any dog hair on our floors, which almost never happens unless it had just been cleaned. We will definitely be asking Denise to take care of our dogs again in the future.
Cant speak highly enough about how amazing she is. Weve got a difficult dog and she was great with him. Great communication and house looks fantastic. Highly highly recommended.
Denise was so great in watching my cat, Kiki. My cat was adopted from the street and is normally extremely nervous around new people. Denise built so much trust with my cat in a few days that Kiki was literally eating out of her hand towards the end of Denise’s stay haha! Denise send me pictures and updates throughout my time away. 5 star service! 10/10 will use Denise’s service again and would recommend with the fullest confidence to anyone!
Denise is AMAZING. I could not imagine a better person to watch my girl while I’m away. My German Shepherd can be very shy and weary of new people and my pup has never warmed up to (and loved) a new person faster. Denise is absolutely incredible with animals and is a true gift. While I was away she was so caring, attentive, and loving to my girl and made me feel so comfortable with leaving my baby for several days. Denise went from being a new stranger in my pups life to a loving new member of our family. I could not recommend Denise more highly — she’s an incredible caring, loving, generous soul who anyone would be lucky to have in their and their fur baby’s life.

If your pet has any special needs I can accommodate them. I have basic first aid skills for both animals and humans, I can administer medications and perform wound cleaning and wrapping. I will need the name of your pet’s veterinarian and contact information, however I have never required medical treatment for any pet in my care.
A typical day
Every animal is different with their own unique personalities. I will tailor the activities we engage in to your pet’s needs. I have an old dog that needs short, slow walks and a lot of time just laying in a sunny spot in the backyard. I have a young dog that needs to bounce around, run and play. Sparkie gets his share of quiet time with me and Noodles has play time all day as well as her noontime nap which she seems to need and enjoy. We call it cuddle time. ??

I retired recently so I could live out my passion, to spend my life surrounded by animals. My husband is also retired so he can care for our babies while I’m on a job. My schedule is wide open. My heart is wide open, too.
