Pet care experience
I have loved animals all my life! I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, Nubian goats, rabbits and was active in 4-H until I graduated high school. I'm now 49 and my love for animals has not wavered! I currently own 1 dog, a 13-yr old Shih Tzu named Casey, and a Quarter Horse named Black Betty. My kids are older now so I'm excited to pursue what I'm most passionate about...spending time with animals! I have taken care of dogs, cats, horses for many friends, neighbors and family members over the past 10 years. I find that keeping pets in their own home/environment is less stressful on both pets and owners and believe you will find this a comforting alternative to boarding. Denise is simply incredible! She took such great care of our two dogs and sent us regular updates and photos. It was a relief knowing that they were in good hands- made our vacation so much more enjoyable, not worrying and wondering. And we know our dogs loved being with her, too ( when we got back home the dogs were excited to see us- but seemed to looking for Denise). Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience...only wish Denise was available for our next trip!

Denise was the right person to housesit and watch my two senior Westies for a week! From the prompt initial response to the follow up the day after I returned, she cared very well for them. My dogs are spoiled, but they also have some dietary and health needs that required a responsible, attentive caregiver. I had no worries while I was away, and I came back to two healthy, happy pups and a house that looked the same as I had left it. I highly recommend Denise to love your pets for you when you have to leave them!

It's always helpful to know upfront if your pet requires special attention for allergies, fear of other dogs or noise (i.e., thunder, fireworks, etc.) or has a tendency to be aggressive toward other dogs, etc.
A typical day
I love walking for exercise, so if you have a park nearby or nice walking trails that's a plus! I'm also happy to throw a ball (or any other toy of preference) if your dog likes to play "fetch".
