I grew up on a farm, and raised all types of animals large and small, including livestock, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, turtles, a parrot, rabbits, ducks and hamsters. Now we have seven backyard chickens, 1 corgi mix dog (5), 1 corgi (just turned 1), and a cat (8 years old). have availability a couple days during the week and some weekends. Though they won't be taking care of your animal, I do have children, aged 10, 12, 14, and 15. They all love animals as well and one of them even volunteers at Cosley Zoo in their Junior Zookeeper program. I hike a lot at Blackwell, Herrick, West Chicago Forest preserve, so your pet will be getting some good exercise in the woods with me. I do have a cat, but she is in her own private screened porch and does not interact with the other animals.
