Pet care experience
I love dogs! I have been dog mom to a Beagle, a rescue Chiweenie, a Corgi-Chi, and now a Min Pin and a Mini Aussie Shepherd. I also have volunteer and fostering experience with mutiple agencies in Chicago and Los Angeles. New to San Diego! Open to small or medium dog-friendly crate-trained dogs in my apartment. For boarding at my home your dog will have daily interaction with a 7-year old Min Pin (who is also my trained service dog) and my 3 month old Mini Aussie. It’s important that your pup have received their parvo and rabies vaccines prior to booking. There are no children in my home. Can’t wait to make your pup a temporary part of my fur family! I have experience taking care of dogs from puppy through end of life care, including palliative care needs and medication administration. I work in healthcare administration during the day from home. I’m originally from Chicago, and have been in SoCal for 4 years, and San Diego since July 2023. I’ve also lived in Hawaii, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. In addition to my work in healthcare I have served in the military. I live in a nice neighborhood and my apartment complex has a small fenced in dog park area as well. For overnight boarding your dog should be crate trained. Crate-trained is not necessary for day care; crate training is required for boarding due to safety and noise consideration reasons if I have to step out of the home during boarding— per Rover safety policy dogs aren’t to be left alone out in the open with other dogs unattended. We went for a week vacation and Denise took a great care of our dog. We haven’t left our dog for over three years and we’re nervous about leaving him to someone else. Denise communicated with us throughout the week, sent us detailed updates and pictures - she let our dog go to all over her furniture, gave him a warm blanket and snuggled with our dog to make him comfortable! She also texted me when she saw unusual behaviors of our dog. We are very thankful of her thoughtfulness and definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dog sitter. Denise has taken care of my pet, Cosmo, several times over the past few years. Some of these included fairly long-term stays, and she always made sure that Cosmo felt loved, comfortable, and taken care of--even with his separation anxiety while my husband and I were were away. She is an excellent pet sitter, and I can always trust that Cosmo will be happy when he is with her. Denise is attentive, responsible, detail-oriented, patient, and knows how to adapt to different pets' personalities to make them feel at ease.

I always double lead dogs (to harness and collar) ensuring minimal chance for Houdini escapes during walks. I try to minimize walking dogs on non-busy roads and have a fenced in dog park in my apartment building. I keep my home free of foods which could be toxic to dogs such as chocolate and macadamia nuts. I require every client to do a meet and greet and leave emergency contact information in the event I can no longer care for their dog or they are unable to reach.

Add-on services and additional information: If you’re booking doggie daycare service, please note that the cost listed is for up to 10 hours of care between 7am and 6pm. If you require more than 10 hours, or care outside of these business hours please book as a boarding service request (it should pop up as $10 more). I offer drop offs and pick ups for pets. $30 fee for pickups/drop offs within 10 miles driving distance each way. Long pickups are available, and each additional mile is subject to a $2 surcharge per mile due at time of booking. If you are booking this ad on, please disclose if your pet has any car sickness or aversion to car rides. Please message me directly to book the add on. All services that occur in my home require a meet and greet prior. Services that occur outside of my home will be at my discretion, with a meet and greet preferred (not always necessary depending on circumstances).
A typical day
Walks, fetch, patio dining and dog beach if weather allows and depending on how many pups I have and our obedience interactions! I have tons of toys for any pups that stay with or visit me and my pups.
