I am an experienced dog walker who believes in making every walk a happy, playful, and enriching experience for every pup. I have been involved in dog care and training from a very young age, from competing in dog shows with my beloved Dalmatians in my teens, to my first job in a pet store leading into different fields like grooming, training, behavior, and dog daycare management. 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗲𝘀? Through my undying love for dogs, I have had experience with all sizes and personalities. I love hiking and exploring new walking routes - I'm lucky enough to live right next to Holyrood Park! I prefer to walk dogs individually so I can cater each walk to each dog's wants and needs, whether that is a nice hike or a busy stroll with engaging playtime, or just a calm walk in the park, I am happy to do it all 🐶 however, some dogs love meeting new friends so I host small group walks of max. 3 daily in the Abbeyhill area 🐾

Denise is an experienced animal carer who looked after Bella as if Bella was her own dog, as I could see by the photos and videos Denise sent. My house was returned cleaner than I left it, thanks to Denise's thoughtful tidying. I can't recommend Denise highly enough- worth the slightly higher fee for the peace of mind that your companion animal is getting the best care.
We are super grateful to Denise for taking care of our girl and keeping her company while we were away for a long weekend. Our dog is anxious and cannot be left alone and Denise was so understanding and made sure she was properly taken care of and took her for nice walks around the area we live in. She is also super respectful of our home.
Denise was great with Ottie, sent lots of lovely updates and was unphased by the noisy welcome she received! We came home to a very tired and calm dog 😊
Denise was great with our cockapoo boy. He loved her immediately. He was actually dealing with some kind of wee stomach virus at the time and she was totally unfazed and super attentive to his needs. We would highly recommend Denise!

Unfortunately, I don't have the space to take pets into my own home but I am very respectful of people's homes when pet sitting and ensure all house rules/schedules are followed and it is left clean and tidy for when you get home. Should I have to step out for other clients (walks or drop ins) during my stay and provided they are content in being home alone for 2-3hrs, I will ensure your pup has had plenty of exercise, food, water, and enrichment games to keep them busy and happy while I'm not there. This doesn’t apply to dogs with separation anxiety, they will not be left allow at any time while they are in my care. I take pet care very seriously and will devote all my time to your pet.

It is important for me to be aware of any behavioral or medical issues that your pup might have so I can assure I am providing them with the highest quality of care. I am happy to care for any dog regardless as I have experience with many different personality types.
A typical day
I love to let dogs explore their surroundings and engage in their environment as much as possible. A walk for me isn't about how far we can get but how much we can get out of it through mindful rewards, interactive games, and building a solid and trusting bond - I want your pup to feel they can trust me 100%, by reading their body language and signals to know when they're comfortable or uncomfortable in any scenario. I make sure to give daily updates with photos and videos via WhatsApp so you are confident and happy that your pup is in safe hands at all time ?
