Pet care experience
We are a married couple in our 30s interested in house/pet-sitting together. We have pet-sat for a few NC and TN families for the past few years, and both of us had pet-sat before we met as well. Zachary works from home and so will be around the house much of the day if dogs need a mid-day walk or meal. Denny wakes up early and can feed and walk dogs in the early morning. Between us, we have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, rodents, rabbits, livestock, reptiles, and amphibians. We are willing to work with other animals as well. We prefer to sleep at the pet-owner's home. Zachary has experience training dogs and volunteering with cats as well. Looking forward to meeting you!

We don’t bring pets into our home but prefer overnight care in the pets’ home snd are also open to drop-in care and walks. We are both very gentle with dogs and cats and enjoy lots of cuddles with pets, and we also make sure to take them for walks if desired.

It’s important to know if dogs have any specific behaviors that are important for us to know. Do they eat socks or shoes? Will they get out of the backyard on their own? Do they bark at delivery drivers? In addition, it’s important to know about the dogs’ allergies, special needs, and preferences. Do they eat once or twice a day? Will they eat human food if it’s within reach? Where would you like them to sleep?
A typical day
We would love to take your dogs for walks around your neighborhood and let them show us around! We also play tug of war with dogs and enjoy cuddling and just hanging out with dogs. Zachary has experience training dogs, and we are very gentle and sweet with new animals to help them get used to us.

Availability
Zachary has a flexible work schedule and works from home. Denny is available to care for pets in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. We both enjoy walking and hiking and would love to take your dogs for walks.
