Pet care experience
Aside from growing up around all temperments, types and breeds of dogs, I am a life long animal and ecology lover, I have acquired qualifications in animal husbandry, animal behaviour and wildlife management. I've volunteered in a cat rescue shelter and spent 6 months on work placement at the Auckland zoo. I have also earnt a Hill's nutritional advocate certification. I have experience with clicker training and can help out on request. I'm fit and active and can take your dog(s) for as little or as long of a walk/play/adventure as they need!

Hi. Just to let you know Denholm was awesome and we used him several times without question. He was recommended by our neighbour as he was their friend who’d looked after their home and animals. He had an instant connection with all 3 of our dogs and we felt confident he would be great with the old boy who needed abit more care with meds and diet Denholm walked the other 2 with no problems albeit one is a crazy lunger He is very calm and likeable which is good for excitable dogs. He also fed our cats and had open access to our home. We found him to be very reliable and responsible and easy communication with our mile long list!! We can fully recommend him and wish him the best in his new town

Unfortunately I will not be able to offer pet sitting in my home (Rental agreement says no!). When in or around a clients property I will show respect to any occupants, neighbours or set rules. You wouldn't even know I was there.

A typical day
As a fit and active person I'll be able to match whatever energy your dog requires. We live in such a brilliant town for walking and there is never a shortage of new places, smells, sounds and sights for them to be excited by. My favourite place to walk and do any off lead exercise is down the bottom of Harris Park, the large field across the river by the outdoor gym is sheltered from the wind and has less foot traffic than other areas.

Availability
I work on a rotating roster 35 hours a week so my availabilty will change every week. Ideally I am looking for one or two casual clients who need somebody to step in and walk their dog(s) or are in need of local pet check ins + dog/cat/fish/bird sitting. I am happy for any requests and to have a chat about availability.
