Growing up, we had a cute little pair of Bichon Frise dogs. One of them was so smart he learned my entire family's first names without us teaching them to him. The other, well, let's just say he was the opposite extreme. It was a lot of fun learning their different personalities and care needs. After learning how to train and care for dogs with the family pets, it became easy to "speak dog" and I befriended many pets of family friends. Some of my professional pet sitting experience is with cats, who have their own language. I love cats because they are very good at telling you exactly what they want and don't want.
