Pet care experience
Having loved a rescue dog as part of our family for 14.5 years, we have experience ranging from puppies to senior dogs and every stage in between. We’ve also fostered dogs and cared for our friends’ dogs through the years.

Poppy had her first stay with Dena (and Fitz) and it was a very positive experience. I felt that Poppy was well cared for and loved. She will definitely be going back again!
Dena and her family took very good care of Oliver. We got lots of updates with photos and videos which we appreciated so so much. We will definitely be rebooking with Dena.
We are just getting introduced to Dena and went on a walk with our dogs to see if they would get along for future doggie day care and boarding. I am so impressed with Dena’s organization, knowledge of dogs and their behavior, and her lovely family.This is going to work out great; such a relief to know my dog will be in good hands.
Dena was an incredible pet sitter for my two cats, and I am so grateful to her. She was thoughtful and attentive with her care, and sent me detailed updates during/after each drop-in. She played with my cats and took care of their food & water needs, and also learned how to care for my diabetic cat. Dena did an excellent job giving her insulin injections and keeping her comfortable. On top of all that, Dena was wonderful to communicate with- she is very kind, thoughtful, and cared deeply about ensuring I was comfortable and informed throughout the booking.

When boarded with us, your dog would be the focus of our family’s life. Our kids are sensitive and kind souls and are very attune to the needs of animals - and they also make awesome additional playmates. :) We love to walk dogs in our quiet neighborhood, as well as a nearby state park. After exercise, we love to curl up by the fireplace for snacks and cuddle time.

A typical day
We have a spacious home that can accommodate inside playtime - tug of war, fetch, positive reinforcement training with treats, as well as exploring our peaceful neighborhood together on foot. There is a wooded park nearby and a sprawling reservoir park nearby as well.

We are a work from home, school from home family of four and have flexibility to accommodate animals’ needs for walks, playtime and attention. Our entire family benefits from time with dogs; they bring so much joy and energy into our lives.
