I am highly experienced with many species. I attended Hadlow college. I studied Animal management (level 3 extended diploma) as a mature student with full marks, I received a distinction for every single unit and exam. I have experience with a huge range of animals including exotic species ( snakes, lizards, cockroaches, hedgehogs, toads, tropical fish, farm animals (goats, pigs, geese, chickens, ducks, horses, cows, sheep) and domestic species. I have qualifications in animal nursing, biochemistry,behaviour, health, welfare, biology, anatomy and physiology (and other units) concerning animal management. I have handled poisonous snakes, lizards and spiders and am confident in managing dangerous and protected species. I have previously volunteered at Lord Whiskey where I cared mainly for horses as well as small animals, birds and dogs. I have also recently worked with the White Cliffs County Partnership, clearing fields for and feeding/ health-checking horses, livestock and cattle. I have three house rabbits, and have owned spaniels, cats, hamsters and tortoises. I’m able to apply treatment/medicine, walk, feed and groom, as well as performing health checks. I am experienced in critical care for small mammals. I have also just completed a beekeeping course so am able to maintain hives too. I can administer medication and injections in domestic species, with topical/oral treatments across all species. I am now able to host pets in my home overnight but this is subject to approval. I can travel for visits and overnight sitting in your home and most of my regular clients prefer this. I believe this is the least stressful option for your pets and would recommend it to anyone thinking about boarding. I will never leave dogs in cars and cages - even at the request of the owner, so please consider this when booking. I do not believe group walks are in the best interest of welfare, so will only walk your dogs during a booking. My availability is not always eflective in the calendar provided. I provide priority bookings to regular clients.
