Hi there - we are Delaney and Matt! We are couple living in beautiful Mount Pleasant who absolutely love dogs. We are both remote workers and enjoy having the flexibility to be home with your pet all day. With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs, we are experts at learning all of their quirks, needs, and all the good scratch-behind-the-ear spots! We guarantee your pup will be loved and cared for like they were our own ❤️ We both have had pets since childhood and have extensive experience caring for dogs, including those with special needs such as diabetes and behaviour issues. Delaney brings to the table a decade's worth of experience in pet sitting, offering both short-term and long-term care to a diverse range of animals. Additionally, her best friend is a professional veterinary technician, providing us with a reliable source of expert advice when required.

Delaney is so kind and and created a safe environment for my anxious dog. I was worried about leaving my dog alone, as she is very nervous with new people, but they met her where she was at, took her on low sensory walks, and let her warm up to them. By the end of the first day, she was snuggling with them! I received regular updates and loved the report card detailing the day. I would absolutely recommend them!

Delaney and Matt took such wonderful care of our little Ziggy over the holidays in their home. Our place is right across the street from a park, and we have an enclosed balcony that's perfect for sunbathing. We love getting outside and being active, so your dog can look forward to plenty of fun trips to the beach, mountains, or local parks. And since we have a car, no place is too far for a fun outing. If your pup happens to get dirty on one of our adventures we are happy to give them a bath. We have high-quality hypoallergic dog shampoo on hand.

Information Delaney & Matthew G. would like to know about your pet
For longer stays and ongoing doggie daycare, we would love to meet you and your pup beforehand! Before your pup comes over, we'd love to know as much as possible about them. Health conditions, food needs, exercise routines, and unique behaviours - knowing these help us tailor their stay. We require the pets we care for to be fully up to date on their vaccinations. We want to make sure your dog's time with us is fun, safe, and feels just like home. We're so excited to meet your pup!
A typical day
During the work week we would start the day with a hour neighbourhood walk and play at the park - either leashed at the China Creek Park or at the off-leash at New Brighton in the enclosed area. This would give us plenty of time for play and sniffs. Our location is ideal for playing fetch and frisbee. We will provide regular potty breaks and cuddles during the day with another walk at lunchtime. Back at home, our enclosed balcony serves as a sunny relaxation spot after activities. Depending on when you are coming for pick up we can do another hour walk at China Creek Park or at the off-leash at New Brighton after work as well. For longer stays - we are also big fans of nature walks and hikes in local areas. We often take dogs to the beach for a fun-filled stroll, and for those up for adventure, we explore mountain trails. All our activities are tailored to suit the energy levels of each dog. From park playdates to beach strolls and mountain hikes, your dog will enjoy a varied and fun-filled time with us!

Availability
As remote workers - this allows us the privilege of providing constant supervision and companionship to your pet, making sure they receive all the attention and care they require during their stay. Here is an example of what a day with us would look like for your pet. 7:30-8:30 AM: Long walk around New Brighton Dog Park with optional ball-chasing time in the enclosed off-leash dog area. We have various safe, good-quality dog toys for outdoor playtime. 9:00-12:00 PM: Enrichment time with snuffle toys and puzzles (we have a good selection), and lazy naps in the sun on the balcony and cuddles. We work from home and are always able to take your pet out for bathroom breaks whenever they need to, but we aim for at least once every 1-2 hours. 12:00-1:00 PM: Lunchtime walk and play at China Creek Park on leash for exercise and a neighbourhood walk for some sniffing. 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM: More enrichment and relaxation with frequent bathroom breaks and another 20-minute walk around the park. 5:00 PM - onward: We love to get out and about in the evenings and depending on how long your pup will be staying with us, we can tailor our evenings to their needs and interests. We enjoy going for walks at Pacific Spirit Park, Kits Beach, Trout Lake, hikes in North Vancouver and more!
