Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs since I was 10-years-old. I got my first dog, as in my dog and not a family dog, and she was a medium sized dog named Lady. She just passed away this summer at 8 due to heart problems, but she was the most well trained, sweetest dog I had ever met. I trained her myself when she was a puppy from potty training to rolling over, and we went on all kinds of adventures together like paddle boarding and hikes. Through the years my family has had many other dogs that I have helped train and take care of, especially older dogs that we have rescued. I am now a college student who isn’t looking to adopt, but I am looking to make someone else’s baby feel as special as my sweet Lady did, even if it’s just for a walk or a few days.

I highly recommend Delaney as a pet caregiver. She watched our dogs for us last summer. She was WONDERFUL in every way. She is very caring, responsive and thoughtful. She even taught our new addition rescue doggie Bebop to sit and shake hands! She obviously loves dogs! She gave me calm peace of mind knowing that my dogs were in good hands.

In my own home, I live in an apartment but it is not hard for me to walk a dog outside and take them to go potty. My apartment complex is gated and under heavy surveillance as it is a college affiliated housing structure. I live in a lovely area in Anaheim and see people with beautiful dogs walking around quite frequently. If need be, I can have puppy pads ready and can work on training in my spare time. Any dog is allowed on my furniture or bed, but they can also not be allowed if that isn’t allowed in your home. If you would like for me to care for a pet in your home, I am extremely conscious of locking doors and leaving a space nicer than I found it. I will abide by your policies, and will treat your baby as I would treat my own!

Please let me know about any unusual behaviors your dog might exhibit, situations to keep them out of, foods to avoid/allergies, likes and dislikes, and overall just let me know about your sweet baby! Also, please let me know if your baby isn't house broke. I have only hardwood floors and am ready to clean up messes, but I'd like to know so I can roll up and/or cover my rugs during their stay if it is really an issue!
A typical day
I am a professional photographer! If you are wanting a professional photo of your dog, I would love to do a doggy photoshoot with your baby. I also am originally from Atlanta, GA, so I am exploring California and would love to take your baby with me. Next stop on my bucket list is the Chino Hills state park, but I am always looking for new parks and hikes to explore as well as beaches. I'm a big fan of Corona Del Mar and paddle boarding in Newport if your baby likes water! I also have plenty of toys and am ready to play fetch or tug of war, but I am also down to just snuggle up on the couch and lounge around if your baby would prefer.

Availability
I am a full-time sophomore in college, so I usually have class 4-5 days a week, but currently I only have class Tues/Thurs from 4-6! Besides class, I am usually just in my apartment hanging out and would love to have either a snuggle buddy or a dog to take on a lovely walk or hike! I also have a roommate who is a certified Rover dog sitter who absolutely loves dogs and has grown up with dogs her whole life, so if your dog needs extra attention or needs to be taken out more often than I can do on my own she would be more than happy to help out. We are both beyond responsible and mature for our ages (20) and ready to take care of your baby.
