I have my own pooch who I have had for 10 years, since she was barely big enough to fit in my hands. Most of my experience is with bigger dogs: great danes, akitas, and others. I love dogs of all sizes, and have never gone a day in my life without having one. I've grown up having as many as 5 at a time on my family's farm. Safety is big concern for me, especially with big dogs. I have learned a lot from a young great Dane who I help with, especially as far as dealing with over excitement on walks, or jumping on strangers. I feel I am great at handling these sometimes unexpected surprises. I am very flexible! Being around dogs is the best part of my day.
