Myself and my fiance have had cats and dogs our whole lives (both in our early 30s). We have had small and medium sized dogs in our home as our own pets, but with our latest pet passing a few years ago, we wanted to do some dog sitting! We lived in the Netherlands before moving to the UK (we are irish originally!) and we did dog and cat sitting and walking and over the 2 years we lived there. We haven't gotten our own pet since moving to the UK but have recently secured a long term lease so pet sitting is a great way to get some animal love! We are comfortable with lots of kids of pets, used to walking, keeping them company and playing with them! We are also happy to give medications and bathe pets as needed, as we both had to do that with our own pets. I work from home as a PhD student so I am home all week. My fiance works 4 long days so he is home full time three days a week so any pets we would have in our care would have lots of company. In terms of flexibility, it also means we can walk or do house visits throughout the week. We have no pets currently so any pets we take in will have all our attention! We have a fenced in garden so they will have access to outdoor space. We also have no kids in the house so pets who are not keen on little children will be comfortable too.
