I am a dog lover with 15 years of experience caring for dogs including my own beloved pitbull who recently passed away at 12 years of age. I currently have no dogs in my house and would love the opportunity to care for yours in a safe, controlled, fun, and understanding environment! I look forward to overnights filled with plenty of walks, interactive play, and attention. I will send updates of your dog throughout our visit according to your preferences. Over the last 10+ years, I have also volunteered for several local shelters and dog rescue programs both as a dog walker/carer and event planner. I've also carefully captured and reunited several lost, confused dogs with their owners, including a 100lb rottweiler, a shiba inu, and a chi-weenie. I'm comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels! I welcome large breeds and dogs who may need extra control or supervision during walks or in the home. The safety and well being of your dog is my top priority. I have a soft spot for bully/pitbull/amstaff type dogs as well as seniors and dogs with special medical and behavioral needs. I believe that experience is valuable but patience is priceless. I live in a spacious studio apartment on the elevated first floor of very safe building. There are minimal stairs to reach my apartment, helpful for seniors and dogs with mobility issues. For dogs with leash reactivity or dog aggression, contact with other dogs can be greatly minimized, though not avoided completely. I have a pet gate that minimizes roaming during times I am out of the home. You are welcome to provide a crate if you prefer your dog to be crated while I am out. On weekends when I am home, I can give your dog as many walks as you like, for potty breaks or just for fun. During the week (most Mondays through Fridays), I am away from approx 8:45am to 5:30pm and able to do morning, evening, and night time walks. I own a car and in the event your dog needed to visit a vet, I can safely transport them without delay.
