De’Erricka was very thoughtful pet sitter. The dogs loved her and she was a great to have in our home.

I feel bad leaving a bad review, but also feel I should warn future bookers in case they have an older dog. De'Erricka was very prompt with responses leading up to the booking (which I very much appreciated!) and was able to schedule a very last-minute request when I needed to go out of town (which I was also very grateful for). My dog is older (~10ish) and has a multitude of health problems (arthritis, metastatic cancer, cachexia related to the cancer, and heartworm). The arthritis and cancer cause him quite a bit of pain, requiring two different medications to be given twice a day. Because of his recent decline in appetite, I updated the medication directions on his page to describe how I have been giving him the meds to ensure he receives them. The meds are dosed in a weekly pill container and next to the dog food (the names and how to give him the meds are explicit on his 'about' section, but maybe I did not describe what the pill container looked like sufficiently and take responsibility for that). Luckily, I was only out of town for ~36 hours because when I returned I realized he was not given any of his meds, causing him to miss three separate dosings of his gabapentin and carprofen pain medications. When I got home, his back legs were lagging so drastically I thought he had had a stroke before I realized his meds were still sitting in the med dispenser. As an older dog, he occasionally has accidents in the house, but he has only urinated in the house maybe three times in the two years I've had him. I indicated that his bladder capacity is about 4 hours, 6 hours max. He urinated in the house at least twice in those 36 hours, which is very unusual for him. This may have been exacerbated by the likely decent amount of pain he was in from missing his pain meds because he still retains decent bladder control given his age. I did not receive any updates during the stay unless I checked in and when I did was told everything was going well. I understand De'Erricka was not familiar with my dog and thus may not have recognized that the way he was walking, or the frequency of accidents in the house, was unusual for him. When I asked why he had not received his medications I received no response despite very prompt responses prior to the booking.
