Great service provider! He really understands dogs, and got my dog to feel good and to accept the new location. I will definitely continue using Dee J for my dog sitting needs. THE BEST SITTER I EVER HAD!! Thanks!

Everything went well with my dog Asher's stay. We did a meet-and-greet ahead of time, and Dee sent me updates while I was away. Also he was very quick to respond to all of my messages, and it was easy to schedule pick up and drop off.

I'd advise not to use this sitter. I only gave two stars because my dogs came back healthy. I requested the booking (quoting from Rover.com) Drop-off: between 07:30 AM and 02:30 PM on Thu, Nov 08 Pick-up: between 05:30 PM and 10:00 PM on Mon, Nov 12 He sent a request for meet and greet Nov 6 @ 6PM. He was late, I didn't want to stay in the rain so I went home, he was home by 6:25, I told him I could meet him at 7:15 after dinner or tomorrow. He somehow missed I told him 7:15, after saying he couldn't do it tomorrow, I verified he couldn't do it at 7:15 - he could, he just missed that in the communication. That should have been the red flag. So we did the meet and greet, and the drop off. We discussed my pickup both times- my plane would arrive at 4, I'd be home around 5:30 and was flexible for him from then until 11pm. He said great, contact when you land. Things were pretty good, he sent photos, they looked happy. He did complain about Dexter peeing on his bed, but looking at it again, it's obvious he took Dexter (a Dachshund) out in wet circumstances and his chest, 1 inch from the ground gets very wet as usual, he didn't dry him off, and when Dexter jumped on his bed, he left water spots of a Dachshund chest and four paws, not a pee pool ( I hope I have the option of sharing these hilarious pictures I got with you) Anyway, so I send him a message right before I leave my flight, thanking him, and that I'm exactly on time as agreed, landing at 4PM, should be home around 5:30, when does he want me to pick him up. When I land, the mess begins. I arrive to a rover request for $44 for two dogs for one night for them to stay overnight. It makes no sense. I ask him what's going on, he says he "departed at 2pm". I really don't understand, he's not there or giving my dogs back when we agreed, and he's try to charge me? I tell him no way. I told him we agreed to a time online, and in person twice. He says his team(?) will review the information. Eventually I get a message he will give me a $5 credit (really? 5 dollars?) and tells me the information is in the request. It's not clear what this means. Am I getting my dogs back? Is he in town? What's a 2PM departure? Here is where the actual miscommunication happens. I believe he is trying to actually just send me a $5 credit, but when modifying the pickup date for some reason, he triggered a rover charge for dog pickup and did not notice. But from my end, after getting a request to spend $44 to get my dogs another day despite all communication extremely clear from my side about the pickup time (electronically rover.com has it 5:30-11pm and I repeated this twice in person) and denying it, I get something about a "$5" credit then another rover.com stay modification request with a $5 credit and a $30 "dog pickup charge" with no other information. I'm furious and confused. I deny that second request, and tell him I'm not putting up with whatever he's doing and will be at his place to pick up my dogs, and if he doesn't respond or show up, I'm calling the police to help me pick up my dogs without ransom money. He completely stops communicating. I have no idea what his 2pm departure ever meant, I have no idea if his plans were to stay overnight somewhere and I interrupted them and he came back, or if he was always coming back but either didn't want the hassle of giving my dogs back or wanted to charge me for another night? Anyway, 50 minutes after my last message he finally shows up at his apartment complex. He tries to explain, I tell him I want my dogs and my stuff. From what's he's saying, I'm starting to realize he didn't know I was charged a $30 Rover fee on top of his $5 "refund." When I realize this and try to tell him, he refuses to bridge the gap between what he thinks happened, and what actually happened until I just gave up and walked away. Cherry on top is that he gives away "gifts" which are supplies from his job at DC health. I'm talking rubbing alcohol, epson salt, three(?) bottle of metamucil fiber, shaving cream, and others. I hope I can attach pictures. This was absolutely the most stressful and bizarre experience I've had in 4 years, 10-15 sitters on this site, STAY AWAY from this person.

When greeting a another pet family, I always want to know if the love one has all his or her shots, and what are feeding times? how long are walks? do you give treats after and or during walks? where to and not to walk him or her.

A typical day

We will go on scenic walks through the heart of D.C we will smell plants and trees. We will also briskly pass by other dogs as we walk, as we dont know what there friendly status, unless you're mommy or daddy allows you to play with youre neighborhod day care friends. Do You like doggy parks? how about doggie pools? As always mommy or daddy's always have to sign a release for parks and play with other animal's.
