Drop-In Visits We focus our Rover services primarily on drop-in visits. Sometimes dogs don't get along with others very well, are older, or just do better in their own environment. Maybe you work long days and need an occasional check in. That's where we come in to play! We will come to your home to let your dog(s) out to potty and play. We will feed them per your instructions and always make sure they have fresh water. We are happy to bring in mail/packages and rotate lights if you like. If you are going to be gone all day, we always recommend at least 3 visits per day. Due to our other work schedules, it is hard for us to do every day mid-day drop in visits. However, we are able to provide this service, as available. With drop-in visits we are also able to care for other pets. We have experience with cats & other small animals (we have bunnies of our own). If you can teach us, we are willing to take care of whatever critter you may have. In most cases, we request that we meet your dog and you to determine your dog's temperament and other needs prior to our first drop in visit. This also allows us to learn how we will access your home while you're away. We have made exceptions for puppies (who will most likely NOT maul you when you come in without their people home). Boarding in our home: (We are not currently offering boarding through Rover to new clients. We have chosen to focus our Rover business on drop-in visits only.) We offer 2.5 acres of fully-fenced-in Dog Heaven. We have 3 resident dogs, ranging in age from 3 to 10 years old. They are a stable happy pack and enjoy having other dogs over to visit. One of us works from home and the other just part time, so your dog will be supervised at all times. We have both owned dogs all of our adult lives. Dogs at our home will be able to run and play outdoors with other dogs and if they like it, spend most of their time out there. They can enjoy the sunshine or find a nice shady napping place. Dogs that leave our home do so tired and happy. Of course, they are welcome indoors at any time and we feel our real job is the official door opener and dog cuddler. Everyone always comes in at night and previous guest dogs have slept in owner provided crates, on a dog bed, the futon in the backroom with (or without) our daughter, or the couch. The skies the limit and we love doggy cuddles. Our home is primarily on one level and is all hardwood floors. We ask that you bring whatever will help your dog feel more comfortable and help us maintain some of their daily routine. Their own bed or crate if they use one and their dog food are the most important things to remember. We LOVE to keep you updated while you're away, including pictures and videos of your happy dog. RESTRICTIONS: Our top priority is to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone so we ask that all dogs be - • house-broken • socialized/friendly with people & other animals • current on vaccinations & on flea preventative We offer flexible pick up & drop off times and can usually work with your schedule with some limitations. **We don't accept late evening/night drop offs. New dogs need time to burn off some energy and get to know our pack. Getting everyone excited and then expecting them to quiet down for the evening just doesn't work. **We keep our dogs inside during drop off times to allow for a calm/controlled meet with your dog. If you are running late, please let us know so that our dogs are not forced to stay inside longer than necessary. We also have other clients / scheduled activities that we schedule your drop off around. We reserve the right to charge a late fee of $10 for excessive schedule change due to running late. **Rover's standard rate is charged per night (for boarding), while we charge per day that we are available for your dog(s), including drop off & pick up days. We will make an adjustment to the quote rate once we determine the total length of stay. You will be able to approve the change prior to being charged.
