If I could leave no stars I would. We had Dee Dee over 2x before leaving for Hawaii to let her get to know the animals, go over their schedules and even left instructions on both animals on paper before leaving. The first day our dog and diabetic cat were in her care, she changed their food, which gave them diarrhea, they were sharing either a cat or a dog food per my conversation with her over the phone while at the airport flying out. My dog has separation anxiety, becoming worse in a car, she was told on 3 occasions, as she kept asking me, to not take my dog for a car ride, she did it anyway, he went into a panic, she said she brought him back when he started shaking and panting excessively. My little guy is on a fresh food diet, I make it fresh 2x a day. I cooked a roast, rice and already cut up veggies which she never fed him. She attempted finally to feed him the roast the am of our return home, one sliver had been sliced, by that time the meat was rotten as we were gone for 11 days; it was still in his dish-stunk- I threw it out immediately! We have a stocked freezer, but she chose to go buy canned food (which gives my dog heart palpitations) a sub sandwich and lunchable type meals. (Our friend took a photo of the sub in fridge for us and the cheap canned dog food, she told me she was sharing that sandwhich with him) The cat was put into a diabetic shock on the day before our return, and had to be taken to our vet emergency, on an IV, and $375.00 later, she didn't offer to pay as she had overdosed the cat with insulin! She claimed she had a diabetic cat once and had previously worked for a vet, with lots of experience. She snooped through our house, moved items and the floors throughout the house was tracked with dirt. She claimed she has 1 Shepard dog & 17 cats in a small place she's renting..I can only imagine! Our animals were in shock for 3 days, started to respond on the 4th, our dog winced like he'd been treated roughly. He's now back to wagging his tail and talking, cat can meow, and walk better as his legs had been shaven due to the IV's. Per vet, cat was extremely dehydrated! Our dog's butt was stained from going so much diarrhea. A horrible experience with this lady. We even gave her a $100 to cover any cost, but she never supplied us with receipts.

DeeDee did a great job for me. She kept in touch with me during my trip to keep me informed that my animals were all doing well.
