My first dog as a child was a German Shepherd and I have loved many dogs and cats since then. Ken and I have had large and small dogs and several cats as well. We have had to say goodbye to our elderly dog and cat recently. We are not ready to commit to another animal full time yet, but miss the joy an animal brings to our lives. We would love the opportunity to spend time with your pet and promise to give them lots of love. We are empty nesters - no kids or pets - so we have plenty of time to shower your pet with attention. We only accept one family at a time, so you don't need to worry that your pet will be exposed to other cats or dogs. We can manage any size of dog having loved dogs from 5 lbs to 120 lbs! We have plenty of experience with puppies, kittens, and cats as well. We have a one story house and a large, fenced backyard (great for lizard and squirrel hunting) and live in a wonderful neighborhood for walking dogs, close to the bayou trail. Your pet will be treated like family in our home and have the run of the home and our big back yard. Pets are allowed on the furniture at our home, and if they like to sleep with us we are okay with that. If they are more comfortable in their crate or their own bed, that's fine as well. We can roll up our area rugs if we will be house training a puppy or caring for an elderly guy or girl. Please let us know if they need any special care.
