Since I was 13 years old, I’ve been lucky enough to have taken care of different dogs growing up, from a Labrador-chow chow mix to two pekingese dogs (and their eventual pups). My first learning experience was helping the female (named velvet) give birth for the first time, helping to create her home with blankets was truly a groundbreaking experience for me and has taught me so much about puppies since. It sometimes takes time and trust for a dog to feel comfortable around you, so one must always provide a safe space for them, which I strive to do. I had to train the puppies from when they started crawling, so I’m familiar with their stages, especially while they’re young. It requires patience and understanding, but also trust and a good bond. The Labrador-Chow chow was a bigger sized teddy bear, and was super friendly with everyone that came to visit so medium-big dogs are not a problem for me! Walking dogs are always something I enjoy, as it also gives them time to play around and have fun as well!
