Discover the Pawfect Getaway for Your Dog!

Pet care experience

Hey there I'm Debbie! For as long as I can remember, my passion has revolved around our four-legged companions. Growing up, I was always filled with the pitter-patter of furry feet and the unconditional love that only dogs can provide. My journey into the world of dog care started with a simple desire to provide the best possible experience for little dogs and their owners alike. I've made it my mission to create a home away from home for our furry friends, where they can feel loved, cared for, and cherished just like they would be in their own homes.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large and secure home that allows the dogs to have full roam of the house allowing them to relax away from other dogs if they wish, for them to either look out of a window at the front or back of the home, or relax in front of a fire. If the dogs are not inside of the house, we have a large garden that is fully enclosed over two levels with stunning views of the meadows behind.

A typical day

During your dogs stay, I aim to get your dog in a stable routine that will remain with them throughout their stay. At roughly 8am, your dog will be woken up and immediately exposed to the morning air giving them an opportunity to have a toilet break, get some fresh air, and prepare for the new day. When they come back in, breakfast will be prepared for them and put down for them to eat. If they do not wish to eat it, no worries, it will remain there for when your dogs feels comfortable to have food. At 10am, your dog will have alone time with me, whether that is for cwtches, chase a ball, or to play with a toy. At 11am, your dog will be told to go out into the garden, get some fresh air, play with other dogs, and relax. Between the hours of 1-3pm, I will take your dog on an adventure to explore the local surroundings. Whether that is going down to the Glamorgan Heritage Coastline, or exploring the local countryside. In the late afternoon, 4pm, your dog will have time to relax from the walk if they wish, or they will be invited for personalised care from me. At 5pm, your dogs evening meal will be prepared giving them time to relax and eat their food. At 6pm, your dog will be out in the garden giving them an opportunity to get some fresh air and have a toilet break. From 7:30pm - 8:30pm, your dog will have an opportunity to have more personalised care from me, whether this be cwtches, or a playtime before bed. From 9pm, your dog will wind down ready for a well deserved sleep for the night. All dogs will then be fully relaxed and in their beds at 10pm for the night.

Pet care is not just a part of my daily or weekly routine; it's the core of my job. Each day begins with a thorough assessment of the needs of the animals under our care. This involves checking on their health, ensuring they have access to fresh food and water, and providing any necessary medications or treatments as prescribed by their owners or veterinarians. Throughout the day, I engage in various activities to keep the pets happy and healthy. This includes regular exercise sessions, playtime, and socialisation with other animals and humans. Whether it's taking dogs for walks, organising interactive play sessions, or providing cuddle time in front of the fire, every interaction is aimed at providing them with the love and attention they need. In addition to physical care, I also devote time to monitoring the behaviour and well-being of each pet. This involves observing their eating habits, energy levels, and overall demeanour to ensure they are content and comfortable during their stay. Any changes or concerns are promptly addressed, whether it's consulting with a veterinarian, contacting the owner, or adjusting their care routine accordingly.
