Pet care experience
When asked if we have children, our response is always, "Yes, and they have 4 legs". We are dog lovers and they literally are our children. In addition to taking care of our own dog, we like to foster pups from time to time, helping pups in need to find their forever homes. Please note we will not accept and requests without time for a meet & greet so please factor that in with your request. If you are new to Rover, use the following code: DEBORS82037 for $20 off your first booking. Although one of us is retired full time from the military (Michael) one of us works from home but still travels from time to time (Debora) so advance notice is key for booking drop-in, house-sitting or dog walking service. Please note that house-sitting does not mean we will stay at your house, but rather it entails at least 4 drop-ins throughout the day, whether to walk, feed or just play with your pet. If you don't require that many, please use the appropriate number of Drop-In visits needed instead. Our goal with House Sitting is to provide enough visits to help your pet feel like someone is home with them. When dropping by your home, we treat it like our own. If you have other small jobs to do (water plants etc...) consider it done as instructed.
Reviews
Debora did an excellent job taking care of our three pups while we were away. We were nervous to leave the dogs for almost a week but Debora kept us at ease with her thorough updates after each house visit. She provided ample exercise to our large dog. An extra bonus is that she is a talented photographer and provided us with high quality photos of each of dogs that we will cherish forever. The dogs really felt comfortable with Debora and we will most definitely book her again for any of our out of town trips.
Thank you again. Have a great week and weekend.
Amazing as usual. Thank you for taking care of Chico.
This is our second time asking Debora to watch our pup ! He loves her so much ! I am so happy that I found someone who I can trust for my pup while we are gone because I know he will be taken care of good and we do not have to worry about it ! She is so easy to communicate with ! She sent me some pictures and video ! I will definitely ask her again for our next trip! Thank you so much Debora !!!

Information Debora & Michael S. would like to know about your pet
We definitely want to meet your pet before caring for them and we want your pet to feel comfortable, and most importantly we want you to feel comfortable leaving them in our care. Over the years we have nursed dogs back to health after spine surgery, broken bones, torn ACL surgery etc... We have also cared for dogs with major allergies and cancer. We have hand fed dogs when they are being fussy and get down on the floor with them when they want to cuddle. If you have concerns about store-bought treats, we usually bake our own as a backup. We know that good communication and trust is very important. Here is what we would like to know about your fur baby: •Does your dog have health issues or take medication? •When walking your dog, is there anything we should know ahead of time (don't walk fast, likes the left side etc...) •We would like to know what type of leash you use, gentle leader used, harness etc... (know we prefer not to use an extendable leash and will bring our own) •Are there any behaviors to be aware of? (very shy, likes to jump etc) •Any food allergies?
A typical day
We love to take walks with dogs, but try not to go to dog parks or put your pet in a situation that we cannot control. We take care to clean up immediately after them and will be mindful of your neighbors keeping barking to a minimum while we are dropping by. Whatever we do, know that we try to send lots of pictures. One of us loves photography so much that you are guaranteed pictures and we try to make sure that at least one of them will be frame-worthy.
