Hi I’m Debby C. 👋🏼 - thank you for considering me as your furr babies’ new bestie. 💕🐈🐕 I have always been an animal lover. After graduating college I knew I wanted to have pets of my own, so I decided to foster kittens, which seemed to be the easiest at that time. Boy, did I enjoy it! So much that I fostered about 15-20 foster babies in three years and have successfully found them their forever homes; I also might have adopted two of my own😽 (major foster fail!) I’ve recently taken a break from fostering and decided to volunteer at Stray Cat Alliance (Local Cat Rescue) every weekend, helping the staff with feeding, cleaning and socializing the elder, feral, sick, and disabled cats. I really love getting to know each of them as they all have very different personalities and needs. It is extremely rewarding to see them open up and become comfortable/playful with you!🥰 Volunteering and fostering have inspired me to help more animals and make more connections, so I’d love to expand my sitting clientele and help other parents feel at ease when they’re away from their furr kiddo’s! I know it can be nerve wracking to leave for days, so I always make sure to send tons of updates, pictures, videos and ensure your babies feel loved and cared for during each visit 😊

I must confess that it's the first time that I was looking for someone to take care of Cleo, and for the same reason, it caused me some distrust and insecurity because I had never had to leave her in the care of someone who didn't know her. During the first week that Debby was visiting Cleo in our home, Debby has been on the lookout and all the necessary care for Cleo, such as giving her food, checking the water, cleaning the litter box, as well as playing and spending time with her. My work trip had to be extended, so because of the way Debby take care of my cat, and the kind and loving way she treats her, I didn't hesitate to ask Debby again to continue helping me visiting and taking care of Cleo.
I highly recommend Debby. She is incredibly patient and fun with my baby and always goes above and beyond to make sure my pup is happy and well taken care of. She knows Brownie's shy temperament and always has a way of breaking her out of her shell. She is also very punctual and regularly sends me pictures of their walks. She takes THE CUTEST photos. Overall, Debby is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a responsible and loving dog caretaker. I trust her with my baby 120%.
To whom it may concern: Debby has been volunteering with us here at Stray Cat Alliance since April 2019. She is wonderful with the animals that we have here. She is very responsible and shows up for her volunteer shifts on time. She follows directions very well. The kitties that we have here love her. I would have her as my cat sitter if she lived closer to me. I would totally recommend Debby Chen to be part of Rover.

A typical day
I live in a gated community with a dog park and safe roads so I feel very comfortable taking dogs on a jog/walk around the neighborhood. I also like to take them to the beach, on short hikes, or go to a safe local dog park for more exercises!

Availability
I currently work from home as a graphic designer, so my times are flexible (morning, noon, nighttime or weekends all work). The flexibility allows me to create my own schedule and time for pet care.
