Pet care experience
I've never been without a dog in my life, until July 2021 when my 13.5 year old boxer/lab boy passed away. 😢 He was my everything, and I’m so grateful I had almost 14 years with him. Growing up we had a dog and cat, then we were lucky to adopt two dogs that needed a home shortly before our family dog passed, and I had my own fur baby (Boxer/Lab named Riley) for almost 14 years (Christmas Eve) since he was 8 weeks old. I've always been drawn to animals, and we have fostered many different types of animals over the years including; Rabbits, baby chicks, dogs, and cats. My boyfriend and I currently have 4 cats (aged 11 to 18), so I’m also very experienced with cats as well. My dog was one of my first priorities, and I used to adapt my lifestyle to him and his schedule, and wouldn't have it any other way. I love to help out others with their pets and look forward to meeting new furry clients along the way!

Hello, My name is Scott M and this is Just a note for recommendation for Debbie W as a Dog care person of interest. Debbie has looked after my Maddy (golden doodle). A multitude of times now. They’ve fallen in love, lol. All I takes is for me to drive in The general direction of her neighbourhood and Maddy goes nuts in the truck, whimpering and whining with so much anticipation and excitement. When I drop her off I’m not really sure who’s more exited; Debbie or Maddy! Although Maddy doesn’t always feel like Leaving Debbie when it’s time to go, it’s So good to see someone who loves what they do and how fortunate my Maddy has such a great friend. Thanks Debbie,

Due to our 4 cats, we are not boarding at this time but a typical drop in visit would consist of 1) friendly meet and greet with the dog or cat, lots of kind words and rubs 2) Dog - walk is my 2nd priority after the greet to ensure they can get outside asap to relieve themselves, get fresh air and get some exercise (Cats- would be to ensure their water dish is full and litter boxes are cleaned after the meet and greet) 3) spend some time with the animals playing or showing physical affection and toy playing. 4) Ensure water dishes are full and a treat is given, then a friendly goodbye to the animals.

Please advise of any special medications, unique quirks, favourite things they like to do, favourite toys, any health issues or impairments (ie., sore back leg so no running) etc.
A typical day
Dogs - walks, play outside (if fenced yard), toy playing together, belly rubs (I give a mean massage that dogs seem to love!) and lots and lots of love. Cats - Lots of rubs and affection, laser pointer fun (but not too hard for senior cats), and also a gentle cat massage (and brush if provided) to relax them before I leave.

Availability
Currently, I have availability Monday to Sunday due to my remote and very flexible working conditions from home. If my calendar is free, I should be able to accommodate any requests. We have four cats that live in our house right now that are very well loved and cared for, so we unfortunately cannot take in additional animals for boarding at this time. Dog walks, drop-in visits and housesitting can be provided.
