Pet care experience
First, I love dogs! I had a black lab, Max, for about 14 years. Keeping him safe, healthy and happy was my priority. Because I socialized him early, he was comfortable with most breeds. So, I'm familiar with a range of breeds and their temperaments. I prefer to care for one dog at time so my focus will be exclusively on your pet. I've been boarding my friends' dog for seven years when they are out of town. They always share with me on their return how thrilled they are that I'm able to care for him while they are away—because they do not worry about him. They know he will be safe in my care as well as happy, well cared for, loved and on schedule with feeding and exercise.

Debbie went out of her way to give our dog a fun time while enabling us to travel out of town. Knowing our dog loved running around in the woods, Debbie took her there both days for huge romps, then back to her quiet home with soothing classical music.
Debbie is a caring lover of animals and my standard poodle knows it! Whenever Debbie is spotted, my dog runs to happily greet her. Debbie lavishes head-pets and "good-girls" and off the two of them go! If you want a gentle, knowledgeable, loving caregiver you can trust to treat your dog like a family member, Debbie is your person.
I have known Debbie for 35 years, during which time she had her own black Lab, Max, for over 15 years. I have never seen such a skilled, loving, mutually respectful relationship between a dog and its parent. Debbie loved Max with all her heart and took excellent care of him, which is why he lived so long. He got the best food and lots of walks. He joined the local dog park, where he made many friends. Debbie also dog-sat some of Max's friends, at times for long periods while the parents were traveling. I'm sure the dogs hated to go home! I would absolutely turn to Debbie for advice and pet-sitting if I ever get a dog myself (I have had only cats to date but love dogs).

I prefer dogs that are socialized with no aggression issues and house trained. I'd like to know about their personality, habits and schedules and any special needs.
A typical day
If your dog is mature, I find walks in park areas or wooded trails most enjoyable. If your dog is young and likes to play with other dogs, finding a dog park and matching him or her with other dog(s) of similar play style seems to work well. I can pick up on the style of play dogs like and adapt to their preference. I also trained my dog and feel comfortable doing basic training skills with your dog.
