Pet care experience
**Home full-time and schedule is flexible.** Our apartment is conveniently located on the first floor with a semi-private entrance, which makes dog walking a breeze. Your dog will have full run of the living/dining area, as we close off the bathroom/kitchen and bedroom. Your dog is allowed on furniture. We’re also close to the Pier 6 dog run and Hillside. We’re very big on positive reinforcement and have done several obedience/agility classes with our Mini Australian Shepherd, so if you’re looking for someone who won’t backtrack your dog’s training, you’re in good hands! In addition, my boyfriend grew up with 2 rescues (one passed and the other is now 15!) and I've dog sat and have lived with very energetic dogs. Through dog-sitting, I've found it rewarding to be responsible and to see the results of training them. (I sometimes binge watch Zak George videos on YouTube — too much?) We have a Mini Aussie that’s very friendly, energetic, and gentle with toy sized dogs. Great companion for medium-high energy dogs. However, if you have an extremely low energy dog (eg. French bulldog), we’ll regretfully have to pass! Our Mini Aussie is so friendly, but it would be best if we could do a meet and greet first.
Reviews
Debbie is the best!
Debbie's infectious, positive and bubbly personality makes her the obvious choice to take care of dogs! She babysat my corgi puppy for the weekend when I was out of town and she made sure he was spoiled yet stuck to the strict schedule that I provided for her. She has a great attention to detail and is extremely, neat. She goes above and beyond with making sure your dog is comfortable and well socialized. In addition Debbie always made sure the apartment was nice and tidy just the way you left it to ensure the dog had a clean environment to play it. She will puppy proof everything! Debbie is also very responsive and easy to talk to via text/email :) Highly recommended
Debbie will make a great dog sitter. She loves dogs (like, really loves them) and is a natural people person too. You couldn't trust anyone more than Debbie to dog sit your dog. She's kind, loving, and responsible. She also has experience dog sitting for extended periods of time before and loves everything (really, everything) that comes with caring for a dog.

Information Debbie L. would like to know about your pet
I’m happy dog-sitting crate-trained puppies to older dogs. A few things for us to know: - crate trained? - medications? - allergies? - personality? - any fears? - favorite game? - any obedience training? - separation anxiety? - resource guarding? - how’s your dog’s recall?
A typical day
Your dog will be taken out at a minimum 3-4x a day. Morning, midday, early evening, and one last walk before bed. Both dogs will be fed separately to avoid any issues. I’ll likely crate mine during feedings. I’ll be implementing rest times. Tired dogs don’t necessarily always mean happy dogs, so it’s important to me that they rest periodically. Play will be supervised. If schedule and weather allows, we may go for a long walk or to the dog run! Though honestly, my dog will tire your dog out so much, s/he will return completely pooped. We have 3 bins of toys!! (That I’m currently trying to reduce so more than happy if your dog would like to chew some up.)
