Pet care experience
Animals are both my passion and my career; I have worked with animals for nearly 15 years, and as an educated veterinary technician for over a decade. I have experience working in general practice, emergency medicine, an animal shelter, dog boarding, daycare and walking. I can help to provide an extra level of comfort and security for owners when they are away from their pets, knowing that should their pet become ill or an emergency happen, I will know what to look for and how to handle the situation. I have experience with behaviourally “troubled” animals, and really enjoy working with them. I am able to administer any necessary medications or treatments, including injectables and fluid therapy in the home, and do so in a calm and low stress manner. A meet & greet is required prior to booking a sit in my home and I have a two night minimum during holidays.

I cannot have hoped for a better pet sitter than Deb for my fur babies! Deb is professional, reliable and is amazing with my animals. Especially as my dog is a rescue with reactivity I felt very confident leaving her in Deb's capable hands. Even though it was my first time away from my fur babies, it gave me such comfort knowing they were with Deb. You can tell how much Deb loves animals - and my animals loved her back! She even did nose work and some training with Juniper - I came back to happy animals who are even better trained :) Overall - Deb is amazing and I couldn't be happier!
Deb is awesome and I am very thankful she was available to take care of my dog! My pup is recovering from surgery and had some pretty detailed care requirements including an in-dwelling catheter, specific rehab exercise requirements and required assistance while walking. Deb's experience as a vet tech was incredibly helpful in managing Saskia's care requirements to a professional standard, during this time. She pointed out any potential health issues she saw or changes in Saskia's routine. I felt very comfortable knowing Saskia was in great hands, and I would definitely use Deb's services again!
Ruby had a great first stay with Deb and Darby! Deb is very knowledgeable and its clear she has a special affinity for animals. We only hope Deb isn't too busy to take Ruby next time!
